De nombreux dfis menacent le secteur agroalimentaire en Mditerrane, comme la perte progressive des varits locales, une forte fragmentation sectorielle, la pauvret rurale (touchant principalement les femmes), la capacit dinvestissement limite des entrepreneurs ruraux, le manque de formation sur la durabilit socio-environnementale ainsi que des capacits limites en matire de planification et de marketing. En outre, les rglementations de lUE en matire de scurit alimentaire constituent un obstacle pour de nombreux petits producteurs des pays non-membres de lUE. MedSNAIL sattaquera ces problmes en favorisant lamlioration et le dveloppement des chanes de valeur dans lagriculture traditionnelle petite chelle afin doffrir davantage dopportunits commerciales. Le projet se base sur lexprience et les mthodes consolides du SlowFood, une organisation internationale visant promouvoir lalimentation traditionnelle en mettant laccent sur la prservation de la biodiversit.

3 partners from 12 countries: The European research project PAVE aims to examine driving and mitigating factors of radicalisation and violent extremism in the Balkans and MENA region. In the light of an increase in radicalism and violent extremism in Europe and worldwide, there is a growing need for a common political strategy and effective prevention measures. PAVE aims to tackle the global issue of radicalisation by examining its root causes and driving factors. Based on a participatory and inter-regional approach, we aim to advance evidence-based knowledge on violent extremism in the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the Western Balkans, and to strengthen the capacity of policy-makers and community leaders for an effective prevention strategy between the European Union and its neighbourhood.

HEALING : Developing a Multidisciplinary Diploma on Art Therapy in Health Education

The main objective of the project is to represent and encourage the development of Arts Therapy education in partner countries, in particular, to design professional educational program (e-learning package) that will enable all staff and students working with patients with long term conditions to offer their patients art-based therapeutic activities. The consortium will collaborate to create materials for the eLearning package of vocational training for staff and students in how to use the arts as a therapeutic tool. This new learning package will enable staff from a variety of professional backgrounds to include the arts as part of their therapeutic work. The Arts Therapies include paint therapy, dance therapy, drama therapy and music therapy. European countries will share their experiences and knowledge of how the arts can be used in different cultural and medical settings through conducting training workshops.

PACTUM is a capacity-building project aiming to develop a high-quality, multi-disciplinary and stimulating program in social, political and behavioral sciences. The target country of this project is Tunisia, a key partner for European Union Higher Education Institutions. Tunisian universities have recently undergone a remarkable transformation, which is bound to, and complements, the processes of modernization and democratization of the political system. Academic cooperation in a delicate and rapidly evolving field like that of social sciences and in particular those disciplines which are central to the formation of future ruling classes and higher civil servants is a crucial test for prospective cooperation among Tunisian HEIs and European HEIs engaging with capacity building activities. The goals of the project exchange of degree planning experiences in the field of social sciences, organization of preparatory summer schools, design of a vocational masters course and involvement of social actors and public administration converge on the crucial need to boost positive impact on students and mutual enrichment between European and Tunisian academics. The Pactum project, co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ program, aims at sharing best practices and knowledge I the field of social sciences, with a special focus on modernization, sustainability, and Internationalization of the Higher Education system in Tunisia. RAQMYAT : Stratgies numriques pour la formation doctorale en sciences humaines et sociales en Tunisie

Le contexte politique et social n de la rvolution tunisienne de 2011 et de la transition dmocratique qui a suivi met en lumire le recours ncessaire aux Sciences Humaines et Sociales (SHS) pour penser les transformations en cours et nourrir les dbats au sein de la socit tunisienne. Dans ce contexte, lamlioration de la qualit des formations offertes par les coles doctorales en SHS revt une importance stratgique. Le projet Raqmyat contribuera lapparition dun nouveau paradigme de formation doctorale en Sciences Humaines et Sociales en Tunisie. Cet objectif gnral sera trait sous langle du dveloppement des pratiques lies linclusion des SHS numriques et du renforcement des comptences transversales dans les parcours doctoraux de sept universits tunisiennes. Dici 2022, chaque cole doctorale bnficiaire se dotera dune stratgie de dveloppement numrique. Un ensemble de huit formations en ligne sera constitu afin dinitier un maximum de doctorants au sein des universits partenaires aux humanits numriques et lutilisation des outils numriques pour la recherche. Les enseignants tunisiens seront forms lexploitation de ces modules ainsi qu lingnierie pdagogique pour des formations distance. Raqmyat insistera sur le dveloppement des soft skills lis au numrique afin damliorer lemployabilit des doctorants. Chaque universit tunisienne organisera au cours du projet une doctoriale permettant aux tudiants de mettre en pratique leurs comptences de recherche en partenariat avec des acteurs socio-professionnels pour le traitement de problmatiques conomiques et sociales, nationales ou rgionales, lies au dveloppement numrique. En parallle, deux coles dt permettront la consolidation dun groupe euro-tunisien de doctorants en SHS qui sera fondateur de la plateforme communautaire de diffusion des travaux de recherche en humanits numriques, Raqmyat SHS.

CONFIDE is a capacity building project financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus + Program aiming to strengthen public health research capacity and contribute to evidence based policies in Tunisia. CONFIDE is part of the European Commission Cooperation program that aims to enhance transnational partnerships and build capacity in key development domains.
The duration of the project is 3 years (2017-2020) during which capacity building activities will contribute to strengthening the relations between higher education institutions and the wider economic and social environment by developing the higher education sector in three regions from Tunisia. The project will establish a sustainable Public Health research center, sustained by all project partners in the benefit of the three Tunisian Universities involved in the project.
The capacity building efforts will materialize in the Center for Evidence into Health Policy, established in Tunisia. The Center will have three headquarters, one in each Tunisian Partner University. The headquarters will be based in the University of Sfax, and will act as head office of the C4EHP.

MAYA : Multi-disciplinArY integrated simulAtion and forecasting tools

MAYA aims at increasing the professionalism of young students by supporting the development of a new inter-university postgraduate Master on integrated water and agriculture management (IWAM) involving three Tunisian universities. In particular, the project intends to improve institutional and individual capacities and reduce the existing Tunisian constraints linked to the lack of scientific knowledge and technical expertise able to cope with complex issues. The new curriculum will take into account new approaches to tackle with environmental degradation focusing in particular on the quality and quantity of water resources and on the existing linkages between agriculture, water management and environment. The project will be developed carrying out the following steps: 1) An updated needs assessment of the curricula of the involved Tunisian universities related to water and agroecosystem management will be implemented; 2) Depending on the results of the previous step, a new high quality Master on IWAM will be defined; 3) a new e-learning environment will be implemented and new e-learning materials will be created by EU HEIs supported by local teachers and uploaded in the interactive e-learning platform which will be created and used to link the learning activities among the local HEIs and disseminate results and knowledge to other Tunisian universities and stakeholders; 4) 30 local teachers will be involved in an active training where they will learn new teaching and learning methodologies in the field of agricultural and water management to be further applied in the new Master 5) which will be implemented in each one of the local university addressing 60 students. During the Master students will be actively involved in the design of the logical framework of a VR educational game thus enhancing their cognitive capacities and allowing them to tackle complex issues.

DARE : Dialogue about Radicalisation and Equality

The DARE (Dialogue about Radicalisation and Equality) project includes 17 partners in 13 countries - Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Malta, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, The Netherlands, Tunisia, Turkey and the UK - and will run for four years. Funded under the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, it will investigate young peoples encounters with and agents of radicalisation, how they receive and respond to those calls, and how they make choices about the paths they take. The project aims to broaden understanding of radicalisation, demonstrate that it is not located in any one religion or community, and to explore the effects of radicalisation on society. DARE will focus on people aged between 12 and 30, as they are a key target of recruiters and existing research suggests they may be particularly receptive to radicalism. It will approach young people neither as victims nor perpetrators of radicalisation, but as engaged, reflexive, often passionate social actors who seek information they can trust, as they navigate a world in which calls to radicalisation are numerous.

We have gathered the SPAAT4FOOD consortium and initiated the project in response to the urgent need to build up updated FST capacities. This domain is evolving at a low pace and experts are scarce. We spotted the need of Tunisian HE to educate/train young students for the sector f FST within an intention to strengthen the relationship between universities and food industries in order to help graduates grab the available employment opportunities. In this process we will also strengthen our institutions and build capacities of vocational HE institutes in FST, thus further improving our position as educators, training providers and consultancy experts. Additionally, we wish to contribute to the increase in awareness on FST. Also, we will try to help in pointing out the possibilities of the FST sector for job creation and self-employment. Accordingly, the aim of SPAAT4FOOD project is to improve the quality of the Tunisian higher education food studies by developing innovative teaching tools and promoting effective collaboration between University and the socio-economic sector.

CUDIMHA : Curriculum Development: An Innovative Master In History and Archaeology

Tunisia is among the worlds richest countries in the Mediterranean both from an historical and archaeological point of view. Its richness is of outstanding universal value, as proven by the 7 cultural and archaeological sites that have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List: the Amphitheatre of El Jem, the Medina of Tunis, the Archaeological Site of Carthage, the Punic Town of Kerkouane and its Necropolis, the city of Kairouan, the Medina of Sousse and finally the 65 hectares composing the archaeological site of Dougga. Against this backdrop, Curriculum Development: An Innovative Masters in History and Archaeology - CUDIMHA intends to address the challenges faced by Tunisia in its path towards modernisation by bringing innovation in higher education system and institutions, new teaching methodologies and multidisciplinary contents, thus providing students and staff with new competences in the humanities field. A 2-year Masters Programme (4 semesters), focused on the valorisation of history and archaeology, has been designed among the consortium partners, with special interest and important contributions coming from the Tunisian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) involved. Tunisian partners see this opportunity as a pivotal move for the national Higher Education System to embark on a progressive path towards modernisation and internationalisation. Innovative teaching and learning approaches and methodologies will be implemented through the delivery of blended Teaching Units that combine in presence and on-line courses, tutored projects on the field, traineeships and experiences abroad. Furthermore, special attention will be paid to the criteria related to gender equality in access to scholarship. The participation of female students will be strongly encouraged through dissemination activities consisting, for example, in info days aiming at tackling the potential problem of gender gap in participation to the labour market.

ITG4TU : Information Technology Governance for Tunisian Universities

This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four european universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying IT Governance framework models from three different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new IT governance framework to be implemented in several Universities in Tunisia.
Expected results of this project include:
A better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs
An overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs
A contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia

Le projet SALEEM est mis en uvre doctobre 2017 octobre 2020 par un consortium de 14 partenaires du Maroc, de Tunisie, de Belgique, de France et de Roumanie.

La cration dun dispositif national dtudiant-e-s entrepreneur-e-s au sein des systmes denseignement suprieur des deux pays, permettant dintgrer un projet de cration dentreprise au parcours universitaire.
La cration de ples daccompagnement des tudiant-e-s entrepreneur-e-s au sein dtablissements de lenseignement suprieur, en sinspirant des meilleures pratiques dveloppes en Belgique, en Roumanie et en France, notamment Ppite France (le rseau des 29 Ples tudiants pour linnovation, le transfert et lentrepreneur).
