Travel abroad, learn new skills, get hands-on experience, and expand your knowledge with CIVIS’ interdisciplinary and challenge-based short-term courses. CIVIS’ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) combine a virtual learning phase with the in-person participation in a physical course element (winter/summer school format) of about one week at a CIVIS university in Europe.Several BIP are open to Master and/or PhD students from Associate Member universities of CIVIS in Africa. You can apply, if you meet the application requirements and if your home university is listed for the particular course you are interested in.

The University of Sfax announces the organization of a selection contest of candidates for teaching and training mobility at the University of Almeria, SPAIN within the Erasmus+ programme.
University of Almeria, Spain offers 1 mobility grant for teaching.
Details about the academic offer:
- The amount of staff scholarship is 1120€, plus travel allowance.
- Areas: Agriculture, Economics, Accounting and taxation, Finance, Banking, Insurance, Management and administration, Marketing and advertising, Languages (English and Spanish)
The mobility will take place in the autumn semester of the academic year 2023/2024.

Sélection des 10 meilleures propositions par les jurys locaux: le 3 juin
Sélection des 5 meilleures propositions par le public en ligne: le 5 juin
Sélection du jury national des 2 meilleures vidéos et envoi des noms des lauréats locaux: le 26 juin
Finale: le 23 novembre à Yaoundé, au Cameroun
Comment réaliser une vidéo ?
Pour réaliser une vidéo, peu de choses sont nécessaires. Les participants peuvent librement
choisir les outils suivants :

? 1 ordinateur avec caméra
? 1 tablette
? 1 caméra
? 1 logiciel
? Tout autre support numérique
La réalisation de la vidéo peut avoir lieu au domicile du participant, à son lieu de travail ou
ailleurs. L’enregistrement de la vidéo ne doit pas dépasser 120 secondes. Avant de poster la
vidéo, il est important de revisionner la proposition afin de vérifier si tout est correct.
Enfin, les participants doivent remplir le formulaire d’inscription en ligne. Le formulaire sera ouvert du 1er au 30 mai 2023.

Données personnelles
Dans le cadre du concours, des données à caractère personnel concernant les participants sont
collectées avec leur consentement. Elles permettent aux organisateurs d’identifier chaque
candidat et de l’informer en cas de sélection de sa vidéo. Ces données à caractère personnel seront conservées par le Comité d’organisation pendant
10 ans.
Sélection des propositions
Les sélections des vidéos se déroulent simultanément dans les pays organisateurs. Les
sélections du jury sont réalisées à partir d’une grille d’évaluation disponible en ligne.
? 1ère sélection par le jury interne du pays des dix meilleures propositions. Elle est réalisée
à partir d’une grille d’évaluation disponible sur la page Facebook CI Mon innovation
pédagogique
? 2ème sélection des cinq meilleures vidéos par le public. Cette sélection est réalisée par vote
via un formulaire en ligne.
? 3ème sélection par le jury interne du pays des deux meilleures vidéos qui vont candidater
avec celles des autres pays concernés.
? 4ème sélection le jour de la célébration de la Journée Internationale des Professeurs de
Français. Elle est faite par le jury final du concours qui procède à la désignation des
trois gagnants de l’édition en cours.
Jury
Le jury interne du pays est composé de membres de l’association constituant l’équipe
d’organisation du concours. Chaque membre du jury évalue individuellement les participants
à partir d’une fiche d’évaluation critériée totalisant 20 points. Les notes attribuées à chaque
participant par les membres sont calculées pour obtenir la moyenne de celui-ci. Le classement
s’effectue à partir de la moyenne obtenue.
Le jury final du concours est composé par les membres des jurys internes des différents pays
et des partenaires. Chaque membre du jury a droit à 1 voix durant le vote.
Lots à gagner
Les participants ont la possibilité de gagner plusieurs lots allant du matériel didactique et
informatique aux formations en présentiel ou en distanciel, dans le pays de résidence ou à
l’étranger. En fonction des partenaires mobilisés, les prix sont attribués à trois ou à cinq lauréats.
Les lauréats ne pouvant effectuer le déplacement pour la finale du concours peuvent se faire
représenter par un membre de l’ambassade de leur pays ou de l’association participante.
La remise des lots aux lauréats absents pourra aussi se faire par valise diplomatique.
Acceptation du règlement du jeu-concours
Le fait de participer au concours implique l’acceptation pleine et entière, sans aucune réserve,
du présent règlement dans son intégralité, lequel a valeur de contrat entre les organisateurs et
les participants.

We are pleased to inform you that the first Call for Proposals of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme 2022-2027 financed under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI-Global Europe), has now been published on the Funding and Tender Opportunities Portal of the European Commission.
As you know, the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme is the EU’s programme to encourage international learning mobility across the African continent by providing support for consortia of African Higher Education Institutions and scholarship opportunities for African trainees, students, and staff. It is built on the positive experience of the related previous programmes, the Intra-ACP Academic Mobility Scheme (2010-2013) and Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme I-IV (2016-2020).
The action is part of the Youth Mobility for Africa flagship in the field of Education and Training under the Global Gateway Africa-Europe Investment Package and it aims to support learning opportunities and exchanges and ultimately to promote Africa as an attractive study destination.
The programme is managed by the European, Education, and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), in cooperation with the Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) and in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC).
Following the publication of the Call for proposals, EACEA is organising an online information session on Friday, 21 April 2023 (9.30 – 12.30 CET/CEST, Brussels Time). This session will build on the first pre-information session held on 13 March 2023 with the aim of introducing the new scheme. During this session, the speakers will provide an overview of the programme and details on the new Call, including information on the selection process, the eligibility, selection and award criteria. The participants will also receive guidance and advice on how to prepare and submit an application through the Funding and Tender Opportunities Portal.

This is to explore interests of scholars within CIVIS – Europe’s Civic University Alliance and its network of strategic partner universities in Africa in a consortium applying for this Jean Monnet Network:
THE CALL IN SHORT:
Aims:
– Creation of a large thematic network on EU external policy to collect, share and discuss among the partners research findings, content of courses and experiences, products (studies, articles, etc.)
– Establishing a tool allowing the partners to share their academic works and run peer review exercises, also commenting on the posted documents
– Provision of results to the European Commission
Thematic focus:
– Jean Monnet Networks in Higher Education support EU studies (worldwide), i.e., fostering knowledge and understanding about the European Union today, including its role in the world in general and/or in specific policy areas.
– This Call relates this broad topic to Africa as Europe’s neighbouring continent with close political, economic, social, cultural, and historical ties, and with joint challenges, and objectives (see, e.g., AU-EU Innovation Agenda).
– Networks could, e.g.: look at Africa-EU relations with regard to meeting common goals and challenges (as in SDGs); compare European and African integration and/or analyse their mutual impact; analyse EU (foreign) policy development and/or impact from an African perspective; …
Grant:
– up to 1.2 Million Euros in total, granted over 3 years (extension possible)
– lump sum funding, covering staff costs, travel and subsistence costs, equipment costs and subcontracting as well as other costs (such as dissemination of information, publishing or translation)
– one network will be funded under this Call
Consortium composition:
– Applicants are Higher Education Institutions.
– Network must include at least 10 applicants from at least 5 different Sub-Saharan Africa countries (Region 9);

The answers received will be the basis for exploring potential overlaps/clusters of interests, looking for potential consortium leaders, and/or connecting potentially interested academics within CIVIS and its African partners.
In a second step, CIVIS staff (CIVIS Global Partnerships Officer and others) offers its active support to those within CIVIS and ist partner network interested in a joint application. This could include the active assistance in looking for further partners, in setting-up the consortium, organising the writing process, and exploring further benefits according to concrete needs and conditions of the applicant network, organising the ideational support from CIVIS, etc.
The timeline set by the EC might be ambitious. But CIVIS, one of the first and larger European University alliances, together with its six strategic partner institutions in Africa, can provide a promising platform for developing an application. Moreover, this is a single call which will not be repeated as such.

In the lead-up to conference, the SOGT 2022 wants to hear from young voices from around the world to engage in the discussion on how internationalization and mobility in higher education can contribute to a better world. How can studying abroad and learning to respectfully work in intercultural teams make a difference? The SOGT 2022 is looking for Youth to play an active and meaningful role in the conference in a meaningful way.?

Eligibility
We are looking for participants with the following eligibility criteria:
You are between 17-24 years old and are enrolled as a student in a higher education institution at the time of the application and for the duration of the program. You would like to work in an international team of youth leaders to contribute to an international conference and make a difference. You have an interest and/or experience in the SOTG 2022 themes and/or intercultural learning. You are ready to commit and can attend the 3 virtual workshops on July 14, 18, 20 2022 (2 hours each). You have a working knowledge of English and can engage in virtual platforms.

· The Award for Research Excellence, valued at $250 CAD
· The Best Research Proposal Award, valued at $250 CAD
All presenters will be considered and are eligible to receive these awards. Presenters must provide an analysis of the implications for their research in improving human health and creating positive change. We invite individuals from any field who can demonstrate that their work can positively impact human health.

The Kinesiology and Health Sciences Student Association at York University will be hosting the inaugural Conference for Undergraduate Health Research (CUHR) on May 27-28, 2022.
This is an invitation and an opportunity for undergraduate students working in health fields to showcase their research work and engage with other health students around the world. The theme “Agents of Change” is an open call to students to share their research work and how they are actively becoming an agent of change for a better world.

This PhD Programme targets the most promising Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) coming to the University of Padua from all over the world to pursue a brand new International, Intersectoral, Interdisciplinary and Innovative “training through research” experience.
UNIPhD involves 25 PhD-Courses covering all research domains. 50 full time fellowships are on offer. Each fellowship is associated to a research topic, that is a framework within which every applicant has to propose an original research project in collaboration with a Supervisor at the University of Padua.
Selected ESRs benefit from very attractive employment conditions and will be recruited through a 3-year contract starting 1 October 2022.
At the date of the call deadline, applicants must be eligible for PhD studies in Italy and meet the following criteria:
Mobility. Candidates should not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years before the call deadline.
Qualification. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or another academic qualification recognized as equivalent to a second cycle degree, obtained by and no later than 30 September 2022.
Early Stage. Applicants should not have already been awarded a doctoral degree and must be in their first 4 years (or full-time equivalent) of research experience.
